What a Week....

First, I have to say that I am completely thankful for my new job!

The first week was so crazy. The state was out surveying last week, and the case management department (my department) is pretty much being rebuilt. It has been so hectic. We didn't have much training last week and I was overwhelmed to say the least. This week has been better. We had a five hour meeting yesterday, and it was really informative. I feel more confident about what i'm supposed to be doing now.

Anyway, just a random update. Hope you are all doing well. Take care!

A blog of Praise

Well, I got a job! I started Monday as a case manager for developmentally challenged adults. It has been a crazy week to start because the company is being surveyed. I have so much to learn, but i'm so excited!

An even bigger praise - my sister-in-law (my brother's wife) got saved today!!!!!!!!!!!! There are not enough exclamation points to say how excited I am!

God is so good! He has proven faithful as always and I am so happy to be able to share my joy!

Hope everyone is doing well!

Update

Well, life is rolling on for us. We are now in Colorado (have been for a few weeks). Matt begins his academy on Friday and it lasts for five weeks. We are temporarily staying with his parents (didn't want to get into a lease until we knew where Matt was going to be placed). We're hoping to move out when he finishes the academy and starts to work. I am job hunting. God is teaching me a lot about trusting Him. It's funny how that tends to happen when one is jobless. I know He will provide in His timing, but the wait is tough. I had an interview on Friday. It seemed to go well, and the guy even indicated that he would like to have me back for a second interview with the executive director this week, but nothing yet. Oh well. GOD WILL PROVIDE! I just have to get used to not havinng much to do. I know - most of you are probably thinking of how nice that kind of break would be! I've enjoyed the break, but am desparately ready to get back to work! Well, i'd better wrap up for now. Hope you are all doing well.

Dr. D

Hey guys,

don't know if any of you had Dr. DeLung at Wayland, but you might keep him in your prayers. His wife passed away last week.

Goodbye Texas :(

Well, i'm finished it three weeks. I never thought i'd get here, but somehow I have. Matt has applied up in Colorado and received notification of a scheduled background check. We will be moving somewhere around the 13-15 of August. I am excited to move to the next part of life, but leaving Texas is bittersweet. I was born and raised here. All of my family and friends are here. Colorado is new territory. Matt's family is there (in fact, we'll be staying with them for a little while), but it's a new start. Y'all know I love snow, so that will be a plus. I'm just glad we'll be able to come back for visits.
